SCHS EXEMPT PARENTS FROM THE THIRD SEMESTER FEES

Her Highness Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Director General of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS), has decided to exempt parents from fees for the third semester due to the urgent circumstances the world is witnessing due to the Coronavirus.  However, SCHS continues to provide its services within Distance Education Program.
Mrs. Mona Abdul Karim Al-Yafei, SCHS Director, talked about SCHS's successful experiences in the field of distance education by using smart education portal and online platforms in addition to social media.  This is a key element for the success of the program.
SCHS’s specialists and administrators received special training programs provided by SCHS through electronic platforms to continue to provide the best educational services to students according to the approved individual plans.
Mrs. Mona confirmed that SCHS departments and branches completed preparations to provide services according to the best international practices for students of various mental and motor disabilities, autism, etc.  SCHS professionals make educational and training videos. They will send these videos to families to apply at home.
On the other hand, SCHS will use its media platforms and website to raise awareness, educate and communicate with families through the phone numbers of SCHS departments and branches to answer any inquiries by parents and society members during official working hours. The same applies to registering new students, which will also be done online.
Through SCHS’s social media, live broadcasting allows parents to communicate with specialists, answer inquiries and discuss developments.  SCHS also keeps pace with all safety procedures, as its employees received training on approved prevention practices. In addition, SCHS sterilized all facilities and buildings according to best international practices.
To conclude, Al-Yafie talked about keeping SCHS abreast of all safety measures.  Its personnel received training on approved prevention practices.  She pointed out SCHS’s commitment to the directives of the United Arab Emirates regarding working hours. About (70%) of SCHS employees with disabilities, staff over 60 years of age, those with chronic diseases, and pregnant women are working remotely.  She confirmed SCHS’s long-standing experience in the field of remote work using the latest technologies and in various fields.
