DELEGATES FROM OXFORD BUSINESS GROUP VISIT SCHS

On Tuesday, February 11, 2020, Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS) received a delegation from Oxford Business Group as part of SCHS’s efforts to consolidate the relationships of cooperation with local, regional, and international bodies.  The delegation included Mrs. Anamarija Svedrec, Country Director and Mr. Rodrigo Diaz, Editorial Director.  Her Highness Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Director General of SCHS, received guests.

This visit aims at learning about the services, which SCHS offers to persons with disabilities according to the best international practices as well as discussing means of cooperation.

After a tour in a number of classrooms and sections, where visitors learned about the services offered to persons with disabilities, the two guests confirmed that these services are very advanced.

They said, “It was our pleasure to join students with disabilities their classes”.  They praised the methods, which SCHS uses to educate its students and develop their capabilities, knowledge, and skills.

In addition, they admired SCHS leadership for more than four decades and its constant efforts to empower, advocate, and include persons with disabilities as well as raising awareness of their issues.  SCHS also strives to reflect a true image of persons with disabilities, integrate them into society, and improve their life quality.

Moreover, SCHS is working constantly to consolidate the relationships of cooperation with local, regional, and international bodies and organizations.  It strives to establish the principle of social responsibility, strengthening the values of volunteering, initiative, social innovation and raising awareness of the rights of persons with disabilities in all fields.
