JAMILA AL QASIMI HONORS HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES AT AL AMAL SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF

Her Excellency Sheikha Jamila bint Muhammad Al Qasimi, Director General of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, congratulated the high school graduates of Al Amal School for the Deaf, which is part of the city. Her Excellency Sheikha Jamila stressed that their academic success is a solid foundation for a promising future, calling on them to deal seriously and responsibly with the university education stage.

She said, “We highly appreciate your success and excellence. This success, despite its great importance, is only a step in the path of scientific excellence in the future". She confirmed that the next stage needs awareness and thinking in choosing the appropriate major at collage.

This happened on Thursday, September 9, 2021, after Her Excellency Sheikha Jamila Al Qasimi honored the high school graduates at Al Amal School for the Deaf. She met with them and listened to their success stories in which they faced challenges and overcame them with determination and will.

On this occasion, the Director General of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services thanked the Sharjah Education Council for its constant cooperation with the city, and for presenting tablets to the six graduates to honor their excellence.

She also thanked Ms. Afaf Al-Haridi, Director of Al-Amal School for the Deaf, and the teachers who stood by the graduates throughout their educational journey and provided support to achieve this honorable result.

She pointed to three scholarships that the city would offer to graduates from (Namaa) Fund. She also referred to the great role of Al-Amal School for the Deaf in developing students' skills and abilities from the first years of school until graduation. However, this role is not limited to the educational aspect only, but also includes the personal, social and inclusion aspects.

She added, “Al-Amal School for the Deaf established with the city in 1979, is keen on educating students in line with international best practices. It attaches great importance to providing a teaching staff at the highest level with academic scientific expertise on the one hand, and capable of dealing optimally with deaf students using bilingualism on the other”.

Her Excellency affirmed the city's commitment to the graduates in the next stage and its constant readiness to overcome the challenges and obstacles they face during their scientific and knowledge journey in order to achieve their goals in all disciplines.
