A professional and responsible staff

The Director of SCHS Mrs. Mona Abdul Karim Al-Yafei has confirmed that the professional and technical cadre of SCHS contributed mainly to the continuation of the work due to their previous experience in this field.  The city has made great efforts to train teachers and specialists on education programs and using online platforms.

Objectives supported by activities

She said, “The goals were supported by educational activities, worksheets, and various educational resources, which included models for tablet applications, YouTube clips, and some websites that serve educational goals”.

“One of the most important goals of the platform is the continuity of providing training, education and remote qualification services for students with disabilities in their home environment and supporting families during the process of training their children by viewing their educational videos. In addition, it included empowering teachers and creating virtual classes for students, providing the opportunity to learn at all times and providing a digital library that contains multiple learning resources,” added Mrs. Mona.

Determined to succeed in the next stage

Mrs. Mona Abdul Karim praised the important role of the Information Systems Department in preparing the educational platform from the stage of preparation to the stage of training and readiness.  She has confirmed that Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services is ready for the next stage. SCHS would continue to provide services to students with disabilities in accordance with international best practices, in spite of all the circumstances and challenges.

Parents are partners in the success of distance education

For her part, Dr. Samia Mohamed Saleh, Director of Al-Wafa School for Capacity Development talked about fruitful cooperation with parents. They received training on using the platform, exchanging educational videos with specialists and continuously monitoring their children in education and training.  They are the link between the city and students. They were also able to discuss specialists about evaluating their children.
