May 29, 2023

Her Excellence Sheikha Nawar bint Ahmed Al Qasimi, Director of Sharjah Art Foundation, opened the “First Takween Exhibition” on Monday, May 29, 2023. This three-day event is put on by the Masarat Center for Development and Empowerment at the 1020 Center, which is also the sponsor, with the theme "We believe in their abilities, be with us."

The exhibition includes artworks, sweets, and handicrafts produced by persons with disabilities at the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS) Centre.

Her Excellency Sheikha Nawar bint Ahmed Al Qasimi appreciated the products' high quality and the tremendous efforts made by SCHS to include, support, and empower persons with disabilities after touring the exhibition.

"SCHS pays great attention to developing their capabilities, discovering their talents, and motivating them to work, produce, and create," she said, adding that it keeps up with the education and training of its members using the most recent and effective international practices.

The Sharjah Art Foundation Director emphasized the importance of the community and organizations working with SCHS and supporting its services. To display their items in several locations, they have to open up extra channels of contact.

Visitors will get knowledge about SCHS's efforts to educate persons with disabilities, develop their abilities, integrate them, and offer them job possibilities in order to help them become socially and economically independent and have more self-confidence throughout the three-day exhibition.

The Masarat Center for Development and Empowerment's management attested to the high level of quality, diversity, and competitiveness of the "Takween Exhibition" products. It urged everyone to go to the exhibition and put the concepts of social responsibility into practice by acquiring and supporting these products.

She described the exhibition's role in fostering effective communication between people with disabilities and members of society as well as its contribution to the consolidation of sustainability and development. She also talked about how visitors to the exhibition can exchange experiences and knowledge.

In order to reach the objective of hiring them in various government and private state entities, she also discussed the significance of the exhibition in integrating people with disabilities, empowering them economically and socially, and educating the public about the capabilities they possess.

The attendees are greeted by people with disabilities who also fully explain the nature and sorts of products, how to produce them, and demonstrate their marketing expertise. They have bragging rights over their goods.

Her Excellency Sheikha Nawar Al Qasimi was also given a handmade keepsake by the center's staff, which she gratefully accepted and thanked them for.

In appreciation for sponsoring and presenting the first Takween exhibition, the administration of the Masarat Center for Development and Empowerment gave a special award to the 1020 Center in the hopes of future collaboration.
