Mrs. Mona Abdul Karim, Director of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS), has praised the theatrical act "Mirrors of Creativity" presented by the members of Arts for All Centre on Thursday, March 7, 2019, at the Africa Hall Theater Sharjah in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF) and EGA Company to mark the second anniversary of the center.  It coincides with Abu Dhabi 2019 Festival and the arrival of the Special Olympics Torch to the Emirate of Sharjah.

Mrs. Mona directed her sincerest thanks to ADMAF for their fruitful cooperation and confirmed SCHS’s leadership in supporting, advocating, and empowering persons with disabilities in every area of life including Arts.

She has pointed out that SCHS was the first to incorporate arts for the benefit of persons with disabilities, throughout the establishment of Emirates Special Arts Group in 1995.  In addition, it was the first to introduce teaching music through colors for persons with mental disability in 2009.  Then, SCHS established Arts Creativity Group for persons with disabilities as an independent center and a continuation of Emirates Special Arts Group in 2010.  In 2017, the establishment of Arts for All Centre rewarded SCHS efforts.

SCHS Director and Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Special Olympics in the Government of Sharjah said that the arrival of the Special Olympics torch to the Emirate of Sharjah coincided with center’s celebrations of its second anniversary.  This gives it more significance. It motivates SCHS to give more support to persons with disabilities in order to develop their artistic and sports’ talents in every area of life.

Mrs. Mona has mentioned the importance of the role, which Arts for All Centre plays in advocating, including, and empowering talented persons with disabilities in the fields of arts and culture inside United Arab Emirates and the Arab World.

She said, “Arts for All Centre aims to achieve the principle of justice among actors with disabilities and non-disabled regarding the practicing of artistic and cultural activities as well as empowering and integrating talented persons with disabilities in the show biz business inside and outside United Arab Emirates”.

The Emirati actor Abdullah bin Haider has praised the outstanding performance of Arts for All Centre actors with disabilities.  He asked individuals and institutes to support this experiment and highlight it as much as possible in order for society members to understand the amount of talents and capabilities possessed by persons with disabilities.  This would lead to their integration into society.
