SCHS RELEASES THE 353 ISSUE OF AL MANAL E-MAGAZINE

The 353 issue of Al Manal E-Magazine for September 2020, which is part of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS) publications, released.  The publication aims at educating the Arab family, providing it with information, theoretical, and applied knowledge as well as training programs and raising their health awareness.

Research and Studies

In Al Manal new issue, we read a material prepared by Dr. Arwa Ali Abdullah Akhdar about home quarantine for children with disabilities.  We also read about going back to school in light of the pandemic and students of determination written by Dr. Rawhi Abdat. Prepared by Elias Tabbaa, we learn about acquired language disorders.  Osama Madbouly prepared a material including more than 200 facts about autism spectrum disorder.  In addition, this section has a topic on learning to read in Montessori Method prepared by Basma Abdel-Halim Abdel-Razek Hassan.

Culture and Literature

Our journey continues with Al Manal, so we read, by Sobhi Nadim Mardini, about the brilliant poet (El A’mah Al Totali).  We read by William Boyd and the translation of Hashem Kata'e an interesting review of the (Short Story) journey as a literary genre in itself. We also read some funny stories from the literature of the disabled prepared by Ibrahim Muhammad Al-Sa'bi.  We read a poem written by the poet, Heba Al-Fiki, entitled (Singing from the Other Bank).

Social Issues

In Al-Manal social issues, we read about the problem of introversion in children (causes and treatment) by Salah El-Din Morsi Hafez. We also read about the ten strategies to help the child cope in times of crisis, written by Dr. Rawhi Abdat.  We read about the difference between raising a child at home and raising him in the street, written by Laila Muhammad Muhammad.  Then we read an article entitled (To teach our children the sweetness of thinking with us at home) prepared by Manal Al Kaabi.  Hisham Ketami prepared another material entitled (Reasons for amnesia and the best memorization strategies).

Assistive Technology

This section includes an article about seven assistive technologies for people with disabilities translated and prepared by managing editor, Osama Nadim Mardini.

Opinion

The editor-in-chief, Her Excellency Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammad Al Qasimi, has written an article entitled (Our services make the difference, leadership and sustainability).  We also read by Ghassan Shahrour about “Human Security is a Priority” on the 75th anniversary of Hiroshima.  We read about Coronavirus and distance education by Idris Lkarini.  We read about the techniques of cognitive behavioral therapy, written by Adel Raslan.  We read about the strategic approach to confront the Corona epidemic, by Fadi Al-Dahdouh.


From Life

Through this section, we learn from the experience of a mother entitled (My journey with my daughter Jorey / The stage of treatment) by Nour Youssef Zindaki.  Muhammad Abu Zahra, has written about Mahmoud Shaheen who is an outstanding model for students with hearing impairment. Mazen Quqas translated a material about Anna Rose, the first girl with Down syndrome, to graduate from Rowan University in America.  Prepared by the editorial board, we read about people with disabilities in Germany and their journey from marginalization to the world of production.

Activities and Events

Unusually due to the summer vacation, the activities of Al Manal were limited in this issue to the continuation of the Treatment Center of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services in providing its services according to safety measures.  More than 724 students with disabilities benefited from the educational platform for Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services.
