SCHS RELEASES THE 361 ISSUE OF AL MANAL E-MAGAZINE

The 361 issue of Al Manal E-Magazine for July 2021, which is part of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS) publications, released.  The publication aims at educating the Arab family, providing it with information, theoretical, and applied knowledge as well as training programs and raising their health awareness.  Her Highness Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Director General of SCHS, is the Editor-in-Chief of Al Manal Magazine.

In "Research and Studies" section, Dalia Al-Zyoud prepared an article on eating disorders. Mr. Rawhi Abdat wrote about early remote intervention (building family capacities instead of dependency). Fahd Nasser Al-Qaba prepared a material on sports activity for people with intellectual disabilities.

In “From Life” section, Hazem Dahi Shehadeh has written a series of stories. Muhammad Abu Zahra prepared a material on distinguished models of deaf students, such as (Anas Nabil Al-Daa’a). We also read about the first female graduate of people with Down syndrome at Rowan University, a material that Mazen Quqas translated.

Among Al-Manal "Societal Issues", Amna Al-Zaabi wrote about the art of managing psychological stress, and Salah El-Din Morsi wrote about the problem of bullying of children (causes, treatment, and prevention). Yasmine Tahseen wrote to warn against the child sitting in the shape of the letter (W).

In "Opinion", Marwa Madi wrote about the reasons why hearing is important for language acquisition.  Wael Allam prepared a material about useful mental habits for teachers of students with autism spectrum disorder, and Fatima Ali Al-Qahtani and Zainab Ali Al-Rumaid wrote about the Response to Intervention Model (Is it a test for detecting people with learning disabilities or a development mechanism for the educational process).

In "Culture and literature" section, there are a number of topics, such as a topic written by Saeed Ramadan about the makers of inspiring history (Annie Sullivan and Helen Keeler). Inas Kassem wrote about the importance of telling stories to children in teaching them to read within a material entitled (Read with me), and with the translation of Mazen Quqas we read a film review on (Inside I Dance... or Rory O'Shea) Movie.

Finally, we read in the July issue of Al-Manal the researcher Nada Shaheen and Professor Mohamed Watfa prepared a metarial about the interaction of the deaf and hard of hearing with Alexa (the smart personal assistant) and from the translation of Al-Nil Al-Taher we read about persons with disabilities participating in the design of Assistive Technologies.
