SCHS SIGNS A MEMORANDUM WITH SHARJAH BANK

Her Highness Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Director General of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS), has signed a memorandum with Mr. Farooj Narkeizian, General Manager of Bank of Sharjah. The agreement consists that the bank, as part of its social responsibility, contributes financially to SCHS new buildings, which will include schools, departments, playgrounds, and gyms that are specialized, equipped, and accessible according to international standards.  These buildings will offer a suitable educational environment that contribute to SCHS restless efforts to advocate, include, and empower persons with disabilities.

Consequently, Her Highness Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qasimi directed her sincerest thanks Bank of Sharjah for its valuable contribution, which reflects bank’s commitment to social responsibility and supporting the services, which SCHS offers to persons with disabilities according to the best international practices.

She said, “SCHS has been always working hard to consolidate the relationships of cooperation with local, regional, and international bodies and organizations in order to enhance the concept of social responsibility, volunteerism, social initiation, and raising people’s awareness of the rights of persons with disabilities in every area of life”.

She pointed out that number of persons with disabilities, who benefited from SCHS services during the last academic year has reached 2339.  On the other hand, 610 are SCHS employees, 50 of whom are with disabilities.  Hopefully, the new buildings will allow more and more students to receive services according to SCHS strategies and informative approach.

Mr. Farooj Narkeizian, General Manager of Bank of Sharjah, has confirmed that bank’s contribution comes from its commitment to social responsibility.  The bank believes that SCHS offers high quality services that matches those offered in the most advanced countries around the world.

Mr. Farooj praised SCHS leading role and its restless efforts to empower, advocate, and include persons with disabilities as well as raising people’s awareness of disability issues in order to reflect a true image of people with disabilities.  He believes that SCHS works hard in order to integrate them into society and improve their life quality.

Notably, this agreement is another edition of a previous one, which SCHS signed with the bank in February 2015 as part of Sponsor 10 campaign.  The agreement consisted that the bank pays the operational expenses for SCHS Physical and Occupational Therapy Department.
