Feb 10, 2020

The students of Masarat Center for Development and Empowerment, which is an affiliate of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS), are participating in the UAE Innovation Month in February by three workshops.  SCHS launched the first workshop under the title “Innovation” on Monday, February 10, 2020, in collaboration with Ajman Digital Government.

This participation aims at integrating students with disabilities into society throughout staying tuned with social activities, which leads to the development of initiation and innovation as well as showing the public their true talents and capabilities.

The importance of participating in the UAE Innovation Month lies in encouraging students to come up with new ideas, develop their cognitive skills, and integrate them in every area of life.

There is no doubt that participation is not limited to the scientific side, but includes social experience, inclusion and increasing the confidence of persons with disabilities.

Participation gives students an opportunity to acquire skills that develop their characters.  Since its inception 40 years ago, SCHS has been making huge efforts to educate, train, advocate, and empower persons with disabilities as well as increase their self-confidence and integrate them into society according to the best international practices.

SCHS will organize the second workshop on February 12, in cooperation with the Sharjah e-Government under the title (I am an innovator). SCHS will dedicate this workshop to its students, branches, and parents.  While the activities of the third workshop entitled (Educational Innovation) will start on the 24th of this month, and it will target administrators, teachers, and educational staff.   The Youth Center in Ajman will host it.
