SCHS RELEASES THE 359 ISSUE OF AL MANAL E-MAGAZINE

In conjunction with the 35 anniversary of Al Manal E-Magazine, the 359 issue for May 2021, which is part of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS) publications, released.  The publication aims at educating the Arab family, providing it with information, theoretical, and applied knowledge as well as training programs and raising their health awareness.  Her Highness Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Director General of SCHS, is the Editor-in-Chief of Al Manal Magazine.

In “Research and Studies” section, Wael Ahmed Allam prepared a translation on remote psychological assessment. Prepared by Elias Tabaa, we read the fourth part of the New Vision in Verbal Audio Therapy. Muhammad Fawzi Yusef wrote an article on supporting families in the transition phase between early intervention programs and general education. We read two articles in this section, the first about early intervention prepared by Safaa Abdullah Lafi, and the second about Rett syndrome prepared by Rasha Ahmed.

In Al-Manal “Social Issues”, we read about the role of the family and specialists in early intervention programs prepared by Dr. Jamal Al-Khatib. Prepared by Maha Jamal and Amani Abdel Moneim, we read about hybrid learning. As for planting self-confidence in a child, that Hisham Ketami prepared this material. Alaa Saif Al-Attar prepared a material on the journey of auditory rehabilitation from discovery to integration. Al-Hussein Ahmed Al-Gamil has written about parents' support for children.

In “Opinion” section, we read a material prepared by Dr. Inshirah Al Magribah, about transmission strategies for people with autism spectrum disorder. We learn about cognitive behavioral therapy by Sarah Adly. Khadija Ahmed Bamakhramah wrote an article entitled (Ramadan is a gift from God, the Most Gracious). Dr. Zayed Al-Ramani spoke about the keys to people's minds.  Maymouna Hussein translated an article on teenage brains growth.

In “Culture and Literature” section, Dhahi Mansour prepared a material on the National Standard Classification of Disabilities in the United Arab Emirates. The Center for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled (Fujairah) prepared a material on a certain gene that cause depression and obesity. Iman Hassan prepared a material about positive psychology and its applications.

In "from life" section, The Media Center for Persons with Disabilities (MCPD) prepared a material on Shwaa Nashwan, who challenged his visual impairment with judo. In “Assistive Technology” section, we read about the technical innovations that support people with disabilities who work from home. Hisham Ketami prepared this material, which Mazen Quqas translated.

Al Manal Activities and Events are full as usual. We read about the Arab Deaf Week 46 (Deaf people in the face of the Corona pandemic) and the (Let's Talk) Forum organized by Al-Amal School for the Deaf as part of its celebration of the week. We read about the virtual session for mothers of persons with intellectual disabilities and about the city's annual Zakat campaign (Your Zakat to Support our education) that continues throughout the blessed month of Ramadan.

Sharjah Autism Center celebrates World Autism Day, recognized on April 2 of each year, and its annual awareness campaign for Autism Spectrum Disorder during April 2021, which the center organized under the slogan (Be kind to the Blue). It aimed at raising community awareness and sharing success stories of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families.

We read about the Ramadan event organized in cooperation between the Ministry of Interior, Sharjah Police General Headquarters, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services. Ajad Center, which is part of the city, organized a Ramadan event as well.
